Standard Pyredoodles are cross between a Great Pyrenees and a Standard Poodle. They are expected to mature anywhere from 65-85 pounds and will be about 25-27 inches tall. This breed is incredibly intelligent, due to their genetic makeup. Great Pyrenees are used for livestock dogs on farms and ranches which make them loyal and intelligent in that area, while Standard Poodles are known as show dogs, although they may just be show dogs, they are also very intelligent, when these two breeds are mixed you get one amazing breed of dog!
Pyredoodles are not only smart, but they are very loyal to their owner and their family, which is one of a dog’s best traits. They are also very loving, many of times they can be out running around and playing and then next thing you know they are lying on your lap wanting to be loved on. The one main trait of a Pyredoodle that is more important to people than any other is their lack of shedding, of course there is no guarantee they will not shed, but it is very minimal which makes them an all-around great breed and a great dog to have.
